Who opens a game, how learning differs from a check, and why speech is not assessed.
Who opens a game
Lessons Available Now
A lesson is assigned by the adult who leads the child, or the child opens a lesson built for their level. In an assigned lesson the child does not choose the games.

Learning or check
Learning — hints and another try. It shows what to work on and does not count as a check.
Check — the result counts toward the lesson.
When an adult assigns the lesson, that adult chooses the mode for each game.
Sound-and-letter trainings and speech games run as learning only. The catalogue labels show it: “learning and check” or “learning only”.
Speech is not assessed: recommendations only
A speaking game never fails the child and never stops the lesson. The child gets recommendations and short tasks on the sounds worth practising. Games where the child taps to show what they heard are checked as usual. Speech games need a microphone.
Speech is not assessed; we only give recommendations. Speech can be assessed by a live person.
Level, topic and language
Level. Every lesson has a CEFR level, from A1 to C2. A game is not offered below its own minimum level. There is also a level test: six short games, about ten minutes.
The game Find Your Level is not that test: in it, the child reads a short text and guesses which level it is written at.
Topic. Topics come from a catalogue of 320 lesson topics, not from free text. Eighteen games take no topic: they train sounds and letters.
Language. Instructions, buttons and hints are in the child’s language. It is set by an adult — the one who leads the child’s lessons, or the parent. The child does not switch it. Feedback on answers comes in the child’s language up to B2, and in English from C1. The English the child is learning is never translated.
