At home

YAKKI Family

YAKKI teaches English to children who do not have English at home. Family is YAKKI at home: your child practises in the browser, and you see what is going well and what is still hard.

How to start

Register with your email, open the link in our message and set a parent PIN. Then create your child’s card.

How-to videos: short clips with captions for each step — creating an account, the parent cabinet, the child’s screens.

Parental consent. A parent agrees first. Creating your child’s card is that consent: a child cannot sign up alone, and without consent the child does not play.

Three modes

Each mode includes the one before it.

A0 — a year of access Comes with payment

For steady practice on our ready-made texts and lessons. A year of access in the limited format, a PDF after each finished lesson, and a clear picture of what your child has mastered and what is still hard. No adult leads the child.

In Development In A0 the child chooses a lesson on their own — year of study, level, topic, games.

A1 — the full format Comes with payment

Everything in A0, plus coins, which the family buys. Coins open the full format: lessons on a topic you choose (“A lesson for me”, “Choose a topic”), speech games, written analyses and the level test. Speech is not assessed; we only give recommendations. Speech can be assessed by a live person — a curator in mode A2. No one leads the child in A1: the plan is yours.

In Development Textbook companion — an add-on for A1 and A2 for a small monthly top-up in coins. We are filling the textbook shelf; a demo exists. We do not store the textbook itself. About the companion.

A2 — with a curator Comes with payment

Everything in A1, plus a curator who leads your child one to one towards the goal you set: assigns lessons — 2, 4 or 6 a week — homework and work on mistakes, and writes reports. The curator also sees what the child does on their own, but writes no separate report on it. There are no spoken lessons.

Lessons are paid with coins; the curator’s work is a monthly fee that depends on the number of lessons a week.

Interface language and dyslexia mode

The parent chooses the child’s interface language and switches on dyslexia mode in the parent account; if the child has a curator, the curator does it. The child does not change these settings. Dyslexia mode is free.

In Development Dyslexia mode.

Payment

Paid modes will appear together with payment. Prices on request; for questions, write to [email protected].
